Lapidus regional groups are self-organising and funding clusters of Lapidus members around England, Wales and Scotland - and one in Edmonton, Canada - that meet regularly to share, discover and promote in a wide variety of forms Creative Words for Health and Wellbeing and network with others to grow the field. Each group has a co-ordinator who communicates with members in the region. This website is a forum for letting other members know what you are doing in your local area and throughout the UK and across the world
Regional coordinators are Lapidus members who undertake on a voluntary basis to convene meetings in their area and carry out administration to enable this. They undertake to adhere to the Lapidus Guidelines for Regional Groups and to liaise as necessary with the Lapidus UK board. Being a Lapidus coordinator does not imply any credentials as a practitioner in the field of creative writing for health and wellbeing and these must be independently verified by any potential employer or other interested party
See Regional Groups pages (listed left) for WHAT'S ON in the regions
The groups offer writing stimulation and inspiration, topics for discussion,
opportunities to exchange experience and ideas, a platform for speakers
on topics of interest and a chance to socialise as well as more structured
workshops, events and courses
Lapidus actively supports the setting up of groups by members for members
