Healing Words: an introduction therapeutic creative writing

This one day experiential workshop will give an introduction to the use of creative writing and poetry both for personal reflection and within a therapeutic space. It is suitable for health professionals who have an interest in writing and for writers who have an interest in working therapeutically. It is a taster for an up-coming Open College Network accredited course.

Using Poetry in Nursing Training

Sue Spencer, Lapidus member and senior lecturer in Adult Nursing is developing ways of using poetry in nursing training. She has an MA in Poetry from Newcastle and was interviewed about her work bringing creativity and imagination into this field in ways that enrich and heighten awareness and give hard-working nurses a mode of reflection and a resource for themselves

Update: Writing Day Retreat at Cober Hill

The day was an opportunity to take part in some lightly facilitated writing sessions, learn more about Lapidus and become involved in developing the regional group and was held in the peaceful setting of Cober Hill centre Cober Hill, Cloughton, Scarborough, places for Lapidus members were at reduced cost
