Poetry Workshop with Myra Schneider: Taking risks in your poetry
Making unexpected and daring connections is one aspect of taking risks in writing poetry but equally important is being able to tackle subject matter, forms, syntax, tones and voices which one hasn’t used before. We shall try out some possibilities after looking at poems in which the writers have taken various kinds of risks. There will be time to start developing a piece of work.
Saturday 13 September, 10.30 – 12.30, Friends’ Meeting House, Meeting House Lane, Lancaster LA1 1TX. £15 / £10 concessions.
