How do I join Lapidus
Firstly decide on the type of membership you would like to apply for. Then complete the online application form. Then print off your completed form and send it with your cheque made payable to LAPIDUS to:

Individual Membership - Who is this for?
This category of membership is for anyone who has an interest in promoting healing and personal growth through writing and reading.
What this offers:
Cost from 1st April 2007: £30 individual, £20 student/unwaged/retired per annum
Professional Member - Who is this for?
This is a new membership category and is for anyone who is actively and professionally engaged in promoting healing and personal growth through writing and reading. As a professional member you receive all the benefits of an individual membership and in addition will have:
- Your own listing in the Professional Members Database SKILLSEARCH
which is publicly available on this website and include details of your qualifications, experience and expertise.
- Access to the Professional members' only area of the website which will include project reports, funding information, continual professional development opportunity and other resources
- Access to a bespoke Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) Enhanced Disclosure for an additional fee
- Advice on professional liability and professional indemnity insurance
- Mentoring and supervision opportunities
With these added benefits the criteria for becoming a professional is more rigorous. You must:
- Provide two references (or evidence of employment) related to your work in promoting healing and personal growth through writing and reading. These may relate to voluntary work or may be peer references. Copies are acceptable.
- You must return a signed and dated copy of the Lapidus Ethical Code
- Provide a copy of your insurance policy and CRB Enhanced Disclosure certificate.
Cost from 1st April 2007: £60 per annum
Organisational Member - Who is this for?
This category is for organisations such as Arts for Health Networks, Day Centres, University Departments or Library Services.
What this offers:
- 4 issues per year of Lapidus Journal
- 3 individual copies of each issue of Lapidus Journal
- Access to Members Only area of the website for three named individuals
- Listing in the Organisational Section of the Lapidus Members Directory for upto 3 individuals in Members Only area of the website
Criteria for membership
Any named individual must sign up to the Lapidus Ethical Code
