The Lapidus International Journal

The Lapidus International Journal provides insights into the writing activities of poets, writers and facilitators working in diverse settings from prisons, to schools, to hospitals, to the community. It also debates the ways in which writing contributes to the wellbeing of individuals, groups and communities.

We invite you to submit articles and creative work to the next edition of the Lapidus International Journal. All input is welcome - research, articles, reports, advice, creative writing, knowledge sharing and more. Get in touch to find out more.

The Lapidus International Research and Innovation Community (LIRIC) Journal

The LIRIC Journal provides an interdisciplinary space to extend and develop scholarship that explores the relationship of creative writing to health and well-being. Our aim is foster debate that can support the growing acknowledgement of the role of the written and spoken word in supporting mental and physical health and wellbeing.

We publish articles, essays and reviews by academics, writers and clinical and cultural practitioners from diverse perspectives who use writing in any number of different contexts. We aim to better evidence how these processes take place and what kinds of effects they can produce, in what contexts. We are also interested in examining the wider economic, political and policy contexts that can support and develop this field of work.

We see the Journal as a vehicle to foster research projects through a variety of collaborative partnerships with a wider community of interest. We also welcome work that falls outside of the textual tradition, incorporating or encompassing poetry, music and performance.
