Volunteer wanted: Research study on Vedic Meditation, creative writing and emotional wellbeing

I’m a third-year student carrying out research on the potential links between Vedic Meditation (VM), Creative Writing for Therapeutic Purposes (CWTP) and emotional wellbeing. I’m looking for a practitioner of Vedic Meditation (VM) – preferably someone who is at the intermediate level - to volunteer to participate in my MSc dissertation.

My research is an exploration of the potential of twinning CWTP with VM to see how the experience may impact wellbeing and neuroplasticity. I’m doing my MSc at the Metanoia Institute, which specialises in psychotherapy and counselling.

I’m carrying out my research on two practitioners of VM – including myself and one other student. Participation is entirely voluntary and would more than likely include being asked to take part in between 2 to 4 sessions of CWTP, some of which are preceded by VM sessions, in March/April 2019.

Participants would also be asked to take part in semi-structured interviews after these sessions and to keep and share a personal journal to reflect on their thoughts/feelings during this journey.
